Mr. Ngufor Peter Njontor CEO Farmers' House awarded for his Performance in the Agricultural Sector

This Gentleman is known for his outspoken nature which has been described in many quarters as blunt and sincere. He has contributed enormously in rewriting the narrative of Agricultural Practice in Cameroon generally and the Northwest Region specifically.

Through his initiatives, he is considered a major development stakeholder not only in the Northwest Region but in the country as a whole.

Out of Agriculture, his voice is increasingly being listened to due to his multiple meaningful media outings in which he addresses burning political issues affecting Cameroon. As a personality concerned with the sanity of his community he has equally thrown his weight behind the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

He has also intervened in the promotion of Cultural activities especially during the Pre-Anglophone Crisis Era. He was in this domain seen at the forefront of the promotion of Annual Cultural Celebrations in his native Bafanji village. He used this annual rendezvous as a means to promote the rich culture of his place of origin.

Considering that Farmers House is involved in the provision of improved seed varieties to Farmers, his contribution towards improving Agricultural output in the country cannot be over emphasised. His obsession to improve upon agricultural output should not be looked at purely from the perspective of a business eye but as one who wants to positively impact on Agricultural output. This was seen in 2019 when he offered cash support and pesticides to a Southwest based farmer who had lost over 3 million FCFA worth of investment through the attack of the Blackpod disease on his Cocoa farm in Meme Division.

Through his many media outings he has shown through his ideas that he constitutes an indespensible bank of ideas to source from for Cameroon to forge head.

He has constantly hinted at the need for equity in the way things are run in Cameroon and openly defined his middle ground position in the present imbroglio wreaking havock in Cameroon, refusing to be an extremist, one way or the other.

While receiving the award at the Headquarters of Farmers House at Mile III, Nkwen in Bamenda, Mr. Ngufor Peter said he was very elated adding that the award was proof that all that he had been doing did not go unnoticed. The award he said simply urges him to do more he said.

Farmers House it should be noted has been working in partnership with Farmers for over three decades and Mr. Ngufor clearly stated that this partnership has been the key to their successes over their years.

The award he said pointed to the fact that what ever you did should be well done and with little regard to who was at the benefitting end.
