Edison Fru Ndi Recognised for Resilience in Entrepreneurship

Against a backdrop of the raging Anglophone Crisis and the resulting difficult circumstances for entrepreneural initiatives in the two crisis riddled Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon, many entrepreneurs were forced to move their activities to the French Speaking Regions of the country. In the heart of the crisis about two years ago, economic activities in English Speaking Cameroon came to a standstill. Schools were closed and transferred to Yaounde, Bafoussam, Douala and other French Speaking towns that are close to the Anglophone Regions. The Intertainment World came to a standstill and the price of food items reached unprecedented heights.

Despite all these adverse circumstances, some entrepreneurs stood their grounds and stayed on. Among these entrepreneurs were Edison Fru Ndi, the CEO of what has come to be referred to as Dreamland Conglomerates.

Edison Fru Ndi against all odds did not give up on his dream to rewrite the Intertainment narrative of Bamenda specifically and the Northwest Region in general. Sceptics held that culturally the Northwesterner did not have an outdoor eating tradition. This School of thought held that quality and top class restaurants would be completely out of place in Bamenda. Edison Fri Ndi proved them wrong. If it could work in Douala, Yaounde, Limbe or Bafoussam then it could work in Bamenda.

He started Dreamland Restaurant, Snack Bar and Cabaret at Fon Street in Bamenda and invested a fortune there to make the place one of the best destinations in Cameroon and the CEMAC Zone.

When the crisis struck, many felt it was the end but he saw it differently. In the heart of the crisis, this Entrepreneural Maverick started and accomplished the construction of yet another Dreamland Complex in a safer part of town in Nkwen just besides the National Headquarters of the Amour Mezam Travel Agency.

"A real Colourful and Quality Intertainment Heartland that can comfortably host about five thousand guests without a frown" is the most appropriate description of what Edison Fru Ndi succeeded to construct in Nkwen Bamenda.

While others were busily running away to God knows where, Edison Fru Ndi was building the largest Intertainment Complex in the Central African Sub Region. The Dreamland Complex in Nkwen is a Snack Bar Dancing, Cabaret with Life Shows and Restaurant. It is also a venue for all sorts of Parties and now constitutes the heart beat of Bamenda, the third largest town in the country not withstanding the realities on the ground.

Dreamland Conglomerates also extends into construction by virtue of the fact he runs a quarry and is deeply involved in construction.

On reception of the award by Mawo Pascal the General Manager of Dreamland on behalf of his boss Mr. Edison Fru Ndi the former said "this award means a lot to my boss Edison Fru Ndi whom I represent. This is as a result of his hardwork over the years. Building the brand called Dreamland took a long time. It has been a journey of a thousand miles and he is at 90% of that journey. This dream started with Dreamland Documentation, Dreamland Restaurant, Dreamland MTN, Dreamland Snack Bar from where he moved on to open the Dreamland quarry. This is how the business venture has been moving on step by step. What Edison Fru Ndi has been doing is to make Bamenda proud. He had a lot of dreams for Bamenda before the crisis hit. What we have here now is just the tip of the iceberg. Mr. Edison Fru Ndi is a symbol for Africa, Cameroon and entrepreneurs who do not just work for money but for the sake of the people."

Dr Denis Nsame Recognised for work done at the Limbe and Bamenda Regional Hospitals

The Limbe Regional Hospital remains one of the cleanest and one of the best organised Hospitals in the country alongside the Bamenda Regional Hospital. This is simply a reflection of the work that has so far been carried out by the hard working Hospital Administrators that have been appointed in the past decade to run these health outfits.

Permit us to begin with the Limbe Regional Hospital from the era under Dr. Bijingni Kuoh Pius. This retired Hospital Administrator took over an outfit and worked hard to create a good conducive working atmosphere that was quasi absent on his arrival. He laid the foundation for future development to be made possible at the Regional Hospital. Considering that Nation Building is like a Relay Race with each runner having the responsibility to make sure that he safely hands over his relay baton to the next runner, Dr. Denis Nsame lived up to the challenge when he took over as the Director of the Limbe Regional Hospital.

Aware of the fact that one must not only maintain the standards one meets but that continuity and improvement upon the statut quo is the only acceptable formula in Nation Building, Dr. Denis Nsame gave his time to his work unreservedly.

It is easy to notice when there are administrative lapses in a hospital. Get answers to these questions and you know that a hospital is well run. Is the clock work mechanism well oiled? Do the Nurses liaise mellifluously with the Doctors and the patients? Are the nurses polite and caring to patients? Does the neatness and general outward appearance of nurses and Doctors inspire confidence in the patients? Are public utility services like toilets available and in good shape? Is the environment as clean as a hospital should be? Are the emergency services truly functional?

The questions could continue but the point has already been made. The Limbe Regional Hospital increasingly had positive answers to the above evaluatory questions. This was and is still an indication that Dr. Denis Nsame moved towards the right direction when he took over as Director of the Regional Hospital.

The challenges were equally great when he took over from an old broom like Dr. Kingue Thompson Njie at the Bamenda Regional Hospital. If the above "evaluatory questions" were to be asked about the Bamenda Regional Hospital when Dr. Nsame arrived, most of the answers would have been in the positive making it even more challenging for the Hospital Administrator.

Dr. Denis Nsame Nforniwe stepped in with the same spirit like he did in Limbe and moved on. Standards had to be maintained and improved upon. Seven months down the line he is moving on.

The challenges facing the new occupant of the office of Director of the Bamenda Regional Hospital were further compounded by the out break of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Working in collaboration with the Regional Delegate of Public Health for the Northwest Region and the Governor of the Northwest Region as well as the entire Regional Health Family, Dr. Denis Nsame in formidable team work put up a stiff fight against the marauding COVID-19 Pandemic.

On reception of his merited award from Francis Ekongang Nzante, the National Coordinator and Chair Person of the CPA Organising Committee Dr. Denis Nsame said, "when you are doing work, it's only an onlooker who sees what you are doing especially when you do so with your heart and might...this means a lot to me. First, it is an encouragement to myself then to my team because these are the fruits of team work...the present context is very different with the Crisis and the COVID-19, the challenges are enormous and the demands daunting..amongst these, we try to stay neutral while attending to the health needs of the population."

Barrister Divine Ndeh Momuluh bags Performance Award for Revolutionising the Modus operandi in Credit Union Landscape.

According to Francis Ekongang Nzante, Chair Person and National Coordinator of the Cameroon Performance Awards, the young Barrister Divine Ndeh Momuluh bagged the Cameroon Performance Awards CPA 2020 because of the efforts he had put in to bring the activities of Cooperative Credit Unionism back on track and to reorganize the Sector in the wake of the sprouting of countless institutions in the Sector especially in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of the country.

Within the framework of the Cameroon Government's Economic Vision, Micro Savings Institutions and Cooperative Credit Unions were created with an aim of encouraging Small and Medium Scale Initiatives through the provision of loans at rates lower than those in other more conventional Financial Institutions.

Recently however, there has been this gradual drift away from the real purpose for which these institutions were created. The initial orientation was the essence of Collective Effort but there recently occurred the frightful tendency to shift away from this position to that of a more self centered Personal Profit Making orientation.

The Organising Committee of the CPA through the words of Mr Francis Ekongang Nzante it's Chair Person and National Coordinator took note of Barrister Divine Ndeh Momuluh in his multiple media outings in which he drew attention to this phenomena.

Divine Ndeh Momuluh is a Board Member of the Azire Cooperative Credit Union AZICCUL. He is also an elder of the Presbyterian Church  PC Ntsualam in Mankon, Bamenda. He is a Lawyer with the Cameroon Bar Council and a member of the Northwest Lawyers Association NOWELA.

He played an active role in the break away of AZICCUL from the Cameroon Cooperative  Credit Union League CAMCCUL. Just back from the United States where he pursued studies in other domains, he threw his legal knowledge behind AZICCUL and protected it's interests during this break away period from CAMCCUL.

The content of his media outings identified him as an advocate for reforms within the Cooperative Credit Union Sector in Cameroon. He has constantly reiterated that Loans should always be directed to small and medium scaled initiatives. This he says will impact positively on the health of grassroot initiatives.

This interest in the quality of lives at the grassroot certainly stems from the fact that his Academic trajectory is not unconnected to Community Development. This was equally seen when recently during the election of elders at PC Ntsualam, a congregation of over 1000, Divine Ndeh Momuluh was elected alongside others to serve.

Considering his age, organizers belief he will serve as a true role model to young Cameroonians who truly need one at a time when the life of the country is at crossroads.

Mr. Ngufor Peter Njontor CEO Farmers' House awarded for his Performance in the Agricultural Sector

This Gentleman is known for his outspoken nature which has been described in many quarters as blunt and sincere. He has contributed enormously in rewriting the narrative of Agricultural Practice in Cameroon generally and the Northwest Region specifically.

Through his initiatives, he is considered a major development stakeholder not only in the Northwest Region but in the country as a whole.

Out of Agriculture, his voice is increasingly being listened to due to his multiple meaningful media outings in which he addresses burning political issues affecting Cameroon. As a personality concerned with the sanity of his community he has equally thrown his weight behind the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

He has also intervened in the promotion of Cultural activities especially during the Pre-Anglophone Crisis Era. He was in this domain seen at the forefront of the promotion of Annual Cultural Celebrations in his native Bafanji village. He used this annual rendezvous as a means to promote the rich culture of his place of origin.

Considering that Farmers House is involved in the provision of improved seed varieties to Farmers, his contribution towards improving Agricultural output in the country cannot be over emphasised. His obsession to improve upon agricultural output should not be looked at purely from the perspective of a business eye but as one who wants to positively impact on Agricultural output. This was seen in 2019 when he offered cash support and pesticides to a Southwest based farmer who had lost over 3 million FCFA worth of investment through the attack of the Blackpod disease on his Cocoa farm in Meme Division.

Through his many media outings he has shown through his ideas that he constitutes an indespensible bank of ideas to source from for Cameroon to forge head.

He has constantly hinted at the need for equity in the way things are run in Cameroon and openly defined his middle ground position in the present imbroglio wreaking havock in Cameroon, refusing to be an extremist, one way or the other.

While receiving the award at the Headquarters of Farmers House at Mile III, Nkwen in Bamenda, Mr. Ngufor Peter said he was very elated adding that the award was proof that all that he had been doing did not go unnoticed. The award he said simply urges him to do more he said.

Farmers House it should be noted has been working in partnership with Farmers for over three decades and Mr. Ngufor clearly stated that this partnership has been the key to their successes over their years.

The award he said pointed to the fact that what ever you did should be well done and with little regard to who was at the benefitting end.

The Cameroon Performance Awards 2020 and some of its Laureates

The Cameroon Performance Awards CPA is the brain child of a group of Cameroonians dedicated to the promotion of Performance and Hard Work as the gateway to both Individual and Collective Success.

It is as such an Annual Rendezvous that assembles, Nation Builders and Driving Forces behind initiatives in Cameroon and the Diaspora.

The raison d'etre is to provide Role models to younger Cameroonians who have dominantly lost faith in the notion that the route to success lies in Performance and Hard Work.

The initiative aims at reigniting the culture of Performance and Hard Work and gradually bringing it back into the mainstream of the thought tract of Society.

The laureates of the Cameroon Performance Awards CPA 2020  were selected following a Screening Excercise that was carried out by the CPA Organising Committee headed by Francis Ekongang Nzante, Publisher of "Education and Development News"(Edev Newspaper) and of "Cameroon People Magazine" (Les Gens Du Cameroun). Other members of the Organising Committee took part in the process from Limbe, Yaoundé, Bamenda and Montréal in Canada (for laureates in the Diaspora).

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the need to maintain Social Distancing, laureates at press time were being individually served at different venues across the country.

Cameroon Performance Awards

Dr. Kingue Thompson Attributes Successes Registered by the  Limbe Regional Hospital to Collective Action.

Dr. Kingue Thompson, Director of the Limbe Regional Hospital has attributed successes so far registered at the hospital  to collective action. He was speaking recently during the reception of the Cameroon Performance Award 2020  at his Limbe office on Wednesday August 19.

He seized the opportunity to thank the Cameroon Performance Award team for bringing efforts of the Limbe Regional Hospital to the limelight. "Today is a special day because of this mark of recognition. It is a special day because I and my staff are satisfied and because of that, we are convinced that our Satisfaction Index is getting higher" he said.

He said the reception of the Award was certainly going to motivate the entire staff of the Hospital. "Although on the Award Certificate it is the name of the Director of the Limbe Regional Hospital that is mentioned, it is indeed a recognition of the efforts that have been put in by the entire staff of the hospital" the self effacing Hospital Director said further thanking the Doctors, Nurses and all the Support Staff for their commitment which he said had caused the Hospital to be spotted among many other hospitals in the country.

The Director of the Limbe Regional Hospital thanked the CPA team for the message of encouragement that they had brought to him and his staff and said it was going to boost their moral to work hard and continue to increase the Satisfaction Index.

Delving into what had been done by the Limbe Regional Hospital since the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Kingue Thompson said since the first case was registered it had been continuous work. He said at the onset there was general panic not only among the population but also among the staff of the hospital.

The efforts of the Director of the Limbe Regional Hospital and the entire staff is summarised in the following words of his. "Beyond our skill and talent, we all came together and did what had to be done at the time. There was no well defined protocol to handle this case but we did everything that we could with love and this patient survived. We later received a number of cases. As it stands today, we have registered close to 260 cases and registered upto ten deaths but comparatively, I can say that we saved so many people that had been tested positive in this hospital. This is because of our determination to assist one another in helping Cameroonians and to make sure that people who come here have all the chances to survive. It is not destiny that kills people because there is what we call Preventable Deaths. This means that there are people who die in hospitals who could have survived. We of the Limbe Regional Hospital are determined to make sure that anyone who comes here with COVID-19 survives and our slogan is that no one dies at the Limbe Regional Hospital because of COVID-19."

The Director further intimated that for the past two months, the Limbe Regional Hospital had lost no one suffering from COVID-19. He said their strategy was to start treating people quickly as soon as the diagnosis tested them as positive. "Infront of the Laboratory for Clinical Examinations we immediately begin treatment. We stay close to patients because beyond the Physical Trauma that they pass through, there is also the Psychological Trauma so we do not isolate these patients to the extent that they feel dehumanised."

Dr. Kingue Thompson said though COVID-19 cases were isolated, they were made to feel the warmth of the Doctors and the Nurses. As a result many people came to be tested and when tested positive, they insisted to be treated only at the Limbe Regional Hospital. This he stated was an indication that patients were satisfied with the degree of comfort that they received at the Hospital during their treatment. At press time, the Limbe Regional Hospital had only a single admitted case of COVID-19.

Commenting on the noticeable drop in preventive measures among the people in public Dr. Kingue Thompson said it was certainly due to the fact that people were slowly getting tired of being kept under restrictive conditions. He said this was an expected reaction but said it was an indication that more intensive Sensitisation messages were needed."Dialogues and one to one conversions are needed to convince people that COVID-19 infections are still going on. Though the number of cases are lower than it was three months ago, it doesn't mean that the virus isn't still there."

The Self effacing personality presented his career life in the following manner. "I have worked only for thirty years. I say "only" because in the Medical Field, experience is all that makes the difference." Dr Kingue said every time that he was given an opportunity to talk to younger ones in the profession, he never failed to emphasize on the fact that no one can ever know everything in medicines and that it was very important to acknowledge one's limits in the face of difficult situations. When this occures and patients are referred to other specialists, lives are saved he explained.

Present to receive the Award from Francis Ekongang Nzante, the Chair Person of the Organising Committee of the Cameroon Performance Awards were Dr. Kingue Thompson accompanied by some members of the staff of the South West Regional Health outfit.

The recognition of Dr. Kingue Thompson for his hard work and performance also took into consideration his transforming efforts at the Bamenda Regional Hospital where he worked as director before being transferred to the Limbe Regional Hospital in the same capacity.

Cameroon Performance Awards

"A reminder that Society is always watching what we do" - Hon Yoyo Emmanuel

Honourable Yoyo Emmanuel, erstwhile MP of the SDF has opined that the Cameroon Performance Awards initiative is a reminder of the fact that the eyes of society are always focused on us in everything that we do. He was speaking recently at Jua Hotel in Bamenda during the reception of the Cameroon Performance Awards CPA 2020.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, if we were all conscious of the silent evaluation by the society then we would make sure we behaved in a  way that was much more beneficial to society. I am sure we would behave better and try to be more useful to our people and mankind as a whole."

Hon Yoyo Emmanuel also said that through the years, he had observed all human endeavors and arrived at the conclusion that wealth irrespective of how it was acquired should always also be used to put a smile on the faces of other less fortunate people in society. When this is not done, then wealth becomes valueless. He said this has constantly pushed him through the years to work with communities realising projects at the grassroot level which constitutes one of the factors that caught the attention of the Organising Committee of Cameroon Performance Awards CPA 2020.

True nation builders he said must be those whose endeavours are people focused. Such people constitute the true nation builders and you see the effect of their hard work and Performance at the level of the impact that they have on the life of people at the grassroot.

He further said since these ideas were embedded in the values that propelled the Cameroon Performance Award Initiative, he was sure CPA would go a long way to rewrite the narrative of Nation Building.

The Chairperson of the Organising Committee of CPA Francis Ekongang Nzante on his part said Hon Yoyo Emmanuel's life had been one of continuous hardwork characterised by discipline which resulted in the series of successes that have characterised his life. Tracing the Laureate's life from when he worked with the National Police Force and rose within the ranks to become a Police Superintendent (locally referred to as Police Commissioner) the Chairman said his formula to success had always been hardwork and Performance which inevitably led to success.

Mr Ekongang also visited the passage of Hon Yoyo Emmanuel in Parliament pointing at the effect he had on the way debates were carried out in the Lower House with his upfront approach to issues of common interest.

At the moment, Honourable Yoyo Emmanuel is considered as one of the leading development stakeholders in the North West Region of Cameroon, reason for which he was one of those consulted during the Awareness and Sensitisation Campaign on the Presidential Plan for the Construction of the North West and South West Regions. And as would be expected, he was of the opinion that peace was a prerequisite for reconstruction to take place in the two English Speaking Regions of Cameroon.

Also present during the Award Event ceremony were Senator Barrister Kemende, Mr Jua Paulinus, a battery of journalists as well as friends and relations who turned out for the occasion.

At Meeting of Intercultural Union of Chiefdoms in Cameroon

HRH Senator Lekunze Andreas Nembo III Bags Cameroon Performance Award

By FEN

HRH Senator Lekunze Andreas Nembo III has been offered the prestigious Cameroon Performance Award CPA 2020. This took place on Saturday August 8th 2020 at his Yaounde residence. The colourful event simultaneously took place alongside the meeting of the Intercultural Union of Chiefdoms in Cameroon.

Speaking during the event, HRH Senator Lekunze III of the Bamumbu First Class Fondom in Lebialem in the Southwest Region said he was truly happy to have been considered deserving of the Cameroon Performance Award. He said it was an indication that

everything we did in life was being observed by eyes that have the interest of the community or the nation at heart. Such an initiative he said would help to push Cameroonians to do what they do better.

Laying emphasis on Performance and Hard work was certainly the best way to change the narrative on the way things were done in Cameroon he said and further thanked the Organising Committee of the Cameroon Performance Awards for taking out time to deliver his Award.

Addressing the Royal Highnesses from across the National Triangle called Cameroon, Fon Lekunze Andreas Nembo III, said he was really honored to have received his Award in the presence of Royalty from across the nation and encouraged other Traditional Rulers from across Cameroon to join the illustrious group.

The Intercultural Association of Chiefdoms in Cameroon he said was truly a reflection of the whole nation. The presence of the Chiefs at his residence in Yaounde actually meant the whole nation was present. A people can only be truly identified through their culture. A group that assemble chiefs from across the nation he said was truly a group that assembled Cameroon as a people with a cultural identity.

Also speaking during the occasion, Francis Ekongang Nzante, the Chairperson of the Organising Committee of Cameroon Performance Awards CPA 2020 said the initiative was the brainchild of a group of Cameroonians both in Cameroon and in the Diaspora who are solely interested in bringing the notion of Hard work and Performance back into the mainstream of Cameroonian thought track.

The tendency to look for quick money using unconventional means he said was slowly gaining grounds. The culture of Hard work and the tendency to appreciate performance, good work and talent was gradually giving way to mediocrity and other concomitants such as corruption in almost every sector in the society Francis Nzante explained. HRH Senator Lekunze Andreas Nembo III bagged the CPA 2020 as a result of the examplary way he has succeeded to preserve peace in Bamumbu despite being the leader of a people with polarised views. His Royal Highness succeeded because of his focus on preserving and promoting the culture of Bamumbu which he has always emphasised is the identy and the uniting factor of Bamumbu people Mr Francis Ekongang Nzante further explained.

He hoped that the CPA initiative would contribute in its own way towards the transformation of mindset by showcasing and celebrating hard work and Performance.

"Firm Foundation College of Arts Science and Technology is set for the New School Year" - Proprietor

By Francis Ekongang Nzante

The 2020-2021 Academic Year is being ushered in with the birth of a new Secondary School in the Educational Family of the North West Region in Cameroon: the Firm Foundation College of Arts, Science and Technology. In a press chat with the proprietor, he said the new institution was poised to kickstart the 2020-2021 Academic Year.

According to the proprietor, Mr Ayeah Michael, this Comprehensive Secondary School will be coeducational in nature. Like some Secondary Schools already existing in the Region, the establishment will have both Day School Students and Boarding Students.

The idea Ayeah Michael said, was hatched by lecturers of the Bamenda Central University Institute who said they needed some sort of a Staff College on the University Campus. The college is as such located within the confines of the Central University Institute at Mile Six Nkwen in Bamenda.

Commenting on the readiness of the institution to welcome students for the New Academic Year, Ayeah Michael said the Boy's and Girl's dormitories had been completed.

He said infrastructurally the college was going to benefit from the fact that it is located within the confines of the Central University Campus. Science and Technical Students he said, were going to benefit the most from these facilities because of the presence of equipment in the Laboratories brought in for University students.

From the perspective of conduciveness and security of the environment, the educationist said Firm Foundation College of Arts Science and Technology was neither too close to the main road to be disturbed by noise from traffic nor too far to constitute a security risk.

With regards to measures to maintain Social Distancing and improved sanitation such as Bucket taps for hand washing, the school proprietor said extra school furniture had been brought in to make sure that Social Distancing was maintained. He said at the entrance to the school there was a compulsory hand washing point for students. Same will be the case at the entrance or doors of each classroom on the campus. The wearing of masks he said would be compulsory.

Furnished with what he described as the best tutors any college could get, Mr Ayeah Michael said Firm Foundation College of Arts Science and Technology was now set for the new Academic Year.

Bachelor Degrees soon to be offered at Florence Nightingale Higher Institute of Health and Biomedical Sciences

Nkwain Joseph, the Director of Florence Nightingale Higher Institute of Health and Biomedical Sciences in Bamenda has intimated that the institution will soon be offering Bachelor Degree courses. He said the school was now poised to sign a Memorandum of Understanding MOU with the University of Bamenda. This move he said would make it possible for Bachelor Degrees to be offered by the institution. This move he further explained constituted part of the School's preparation in the build up to the 2020-2021 Academic Year.
Among other things, Mr. Nkwain Joseph said that the institution had permissions from both the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Higher Education. The approval from the Ministry of Public Health permits the Institution to train State Registered Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
Students he said, enter the institution through a Competitive Entrance Examination and registration for this Examination Mr Nkwain Joseph said had just been launched.
Talking about the school's infrastructure, the Director said the establishment had 9 Lecture Halls, a hall for practicals, a well equipped Laboratory, a well equipped library as well as an IT Room and many other facilities that make learning conducive. The Director further intimated that the institution is located in a very quiet part of Nkwen in Bamenda on the road to the Bamenda III Council.
Considering that the 2020-2021 Academic Year was going to begin under very peculiar circumstances imposed by the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mr. Nkwain Joseph said measures had been put in place by the School Authorities to make sure that the chances of infection were almost completely wiped out. He pointed out that at the entrance to the school there was a huge Bucket Tap with water and soap for compulsory hand washing adding that infront of all the lecture halls there were Hand Sanitizers.
In order to obey Social Distancing the school he said, had carried out certain adjustments. "We decided to buy extra tables and student's chairs so that we respect Social Distancing. We have put all these measures in place and we think that the measures are adequate for students to be able to study at Florence Nightingale Higher Institute of Health and Biomedical Sciences Bamenda."
The School Director indicated that the institution sent out HND candidates this year in Nursing an Laboratory Sciences. He equally emphasised on the fact that since its creation, the institution has always scored a hundred percent at the Higher National Diploma Examinations. "Last year we were ranked first in the country with the best results at the HND. There was a criteria set by the Ministry of Higher Education which included the number of successful students and quality of results.
Talking about the school's preparedness for the 2020-2021 Academic year, Mr. Nkwain explained the situation in the following manner; "We are prepared for the new Academic Year. We've had to acquire Equipment and other pedagogic material which will be very conducive for learning. In the days ahead we are going to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Bamenda to train Bachelor students in Nursing, Laboratory Sciences, Midwifery, Nutrition and Dietetics and Healthcare Management."
Mr. Nkwain Joseph sent out an appeal to parents and other educational stakeholders calling on them to visit the school premises so as to ascertain the degree of  conduciveness of the environment. The staff he said had been in the field for long and had acquired experience over the years. He reiterated that the institution offered HND Nursing and HND Laboratory Sciences. Onto these were going to be added  Midwifery, Sanitary Technicians, Nutrition and Dietetics and Healthcare Management.
