Hectic reception by enthusiastic Crowds at Grand Stand in Nkor
Monday 6th November 2017, the Anniversary Day of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement will go down in the annals of the political history of the Noni Sub-Division as a day when an unprecedented crowd turned out to fête and celebrate with the ruling CPDM party on a day that marked President Paul Biya’s 35th year as the Head of State of the Republic of Cameroon. All the 17 Sub Sections that make up Bui 5 Section of the CPDM were fully represented in a colourful March Pass that took the marching throngs across the Nkor Market Square up to the District Health Centre and back to the Grand Stand.

Nformi Alfred Forgwei and D.O. Martin Ngwa Manjong

An emotional stop at the Nkor District Hospital saw the Section President Nformi Alfred Forgwei accompanied by Martin Ngwa Manjong; Divisional Officer for Noni Sub Division giving out gifts to the needy sick people and nursing mothers.
Speaking at the Nkor Grand Stand, Nformi Alfred Forgwei said the three and half decades that President Paul Biya had passed in office were very significant. It was an indication that President Paul Biya was the one who could handle things especially at a moment when the country was passing through turbulent times. It is not anybody who wants to become a President that can actually carry out the functions of the President as President Paul Biya had done in the past 35 years he said.

Royalty made their presence felt

Section President of CPDM Bui 5 classified President Biya’s achievements in four segments; political, economic, social and infrastructural development. Cameroon he said had evolved from wooden electoral boxes to Biometric Electoral Boxes. Economically, the country he said had gone a reasonable way down the road of industrialization enhanced by developments in road infrastructure and diversification of the Economy. Socially, Nformi Alfred Forgwei referred to Educational Facilities that had spread over the country at all levels. He equally talked of the professionalization of education and the impressive growth of the Health Sector. On the international scene, he said Cameroon is known for her success in maintaining peace and unity and its impressive achievements in sports especially in Football over the years.

Section President and Divisional Officer

Nformi Alfred Forgwei further talked on the “Cameroonian Spirit” which had been built through living together under the leadership of H.E. President Paul Biya. While putting across a message of peace and dialogue to Cameroonians, he insisted on synergy between the Presidents of Sub Sections of the party in Noni and the elites if success had to be achieved.
In what he called “Operation take back our Council” the Section President prescribed speculation and anticipation and called on each Sub-Section President to come out with a Marshal Plan in the form of Micro projects and activities that can transform lives. All these activities should be carried out in party colours and party cells and branches should be activated he admonished.

After presenting a paper titled “The Role of the CPDM militant in the present context”, Nfinyoh Mabu called on militants never to stay down after a fall but to always make an effort to rise again. “If we stay down then we have failed but we are not staying down.” He went ahead to denounce those who use falsehood to attain office. “We will not fake it to make it.”
Another highlight of the celebrations was the resignation of a certain Adamu Alhadji Abarka, a councilor of the SDF run Council from Lasn. He chose the occasion to resign and join the ruling CPDM party saying that the SDF team running the Nkor Council had not lived up to what was expected of it.
Meantime, the Divisional Officer for Noni Sub Division Martin Ngwa Manjong said he had expected the other political parties to join the celebration since it had to do with the President of all Cameroonians. He further said the government was moving ahead carrying out measures to get the Anglophone Crises solved but  that a couple of people had decided to stay behind dragging and slowing down things. School re-opening in Noni Sub Division he said had been very successful except in Djottin where some difficult cases were being registered.
