The illustrious sons of the CPDM in Santa Sub Division in the North West Region on Friday August 18, 2017 launched the 2017-2018 Academic Year. The event saw the presentation of didactic materials like exercise and text books, writing materials among other basic things needed for the start of an academic year to primary and secondary schools within the Santa Sub Division.

Ntumfor Fru Jonathan, Inspector General at the Ministry of Public Contracts seized the occasion to call on parents and traditional leaders within the Sub Division to make sure that their kids were in school from the first day that schools open their doors in the first week of September. He called on the people that turned out on the occasion not to be fooled by a few people urging them that right thinking people could not stumble into the same hole twice. He said “we were told that there would be no GCE, no marking and no results and none of it came out true. Come September, we shall go to school. Santa’s rich elite is a product of education. We dominate because we send our children to school” he said.

Dr. Chi Asafor Cornelius

Simon Achidi Achu, Vice President of the Senate fondly referred to as “captain of the Santa intelligence” said children should go to school and that any person who attempted to disturb them should be reported. He called on Chiefs and Ardos; leaders of the settler Mbororo tribes to collaborate with the initiative.

The Secretary General of the National Commission for Bilingualism and Multi-culturalism, Dr. Chi Asafor on his part said the fundamental cement of existence was solidarity and living together.

This he said could only come about through humans interacting with each other. Education he further said was the only way through which humans could succeed to do this. “For us to live as a state and as a Nation we must continue to live together and for this to succeed our children must go to school and interact with each other.”
